Assistant, Associate and Senior Planner Positions

MIG-Hogle Ireland is seeking experienced Assistant, Associate and Senior level planners for possible assignment to public agencies or to work on the entitlement processing of public or private sector projects. There are current opportunities available, but MIG-Hogle Ireland will also be establishing a list of potential planners for positions which may become available in the near future. All planners would be employees of MIG-Hogle Ireland, and applications for full-time and part-time positions are being accepted.

Job Descriptions

Assistant Planner

Applicants for the Assistant Planner positions should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in urbanplanning or a related field and one or more years of experience working with a city or county, preferablyin the current planning and entitlement processing. Experience as an intern in a municipal planningdepartment is acceptable. Strong written and oral communication skills are mandatory. Understandingand experience in processing CEQA documents is desirable.

Associate Planner

Applicants for the Associate Planner positions should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree inurban planning or a related field and three or more years of experience working with a city or county, preferably in the current planning and entitlement processing. Strong written and oral communicationskills and experience in presentations before advisory bodies and/or City Councils are mandatory. Applicants must have experience in processing CEQA documents.

Senior Planner

Applicants for the Senior Planner positions should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or a related field and five or more years of experience working with a city or county, preferably in the current planning and entitlement processing. The applicant should have project management experience, dealing with complex projects. Strong written and oral communication skills and experience in presentations before advisory bodies and/or City Councils are mandatory. Applicants must have experience in processing CEQA documents, including Environmental Impact Reports. Experience with NEPA processing is desireable.
