Gateway Village is located in the Golden Valley Unified School District (GVUSD). GVUSD is the sole public school service provider to the project area and provides classes from kindergarten through high school.
Four elementary school sites are conceptually located in residential neighborhoods within the Specific Plan area to serve the needs of the Golden Valley Unified School District. Each of these school sites is anticipated to be approximately 12 acres in size. However, offsite school sites and facilities may be utilized in lieu of onsite school sites and facilities where available and appropriate. The exact school site locations, number of school sites, and sizes will be determined in consultation with the School District.
The recently completed Liberty High School, located at Road 36 and Avenue 12, will serve Gateway Village. The elementary school sites will also benefit the existing communities of Rolling Hills Estates, Madera Ranchos and portions of Rio Mesa (not including North Fork Village which is in the Chiwanabee School District). It is anticipated that elementary schools will be located in Neighborhoods A, B, C, and E. The project area is also served by State Center Community College District (SCCCD), home to the State’s oldest community college. SCCCD serves the communities of Fresno, Reedley, Clovis, Madera and Oakhurst.
