July 2005
The Specific Plan, Area Plan and Infrastructure Master Plan were submitted to Madera County for review.
September 9, 2005
The Notice of Preparation (NOP), which serves to notify the public responsible agencies, trustee agencies, and involved federal agencies that an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) is to be prepared, was issued by the County of Madera.
September 27, 2005
A scoping meeting seeking public input on issues to be addressed in the EIR was conducted by the County and their EIR consultant.
January 25, 2006

November 22, 2006
The County distributed the draft EIR for review by the community and public agencies and a 45 day review and comment period followed. The County and the County’s EIR consultant reviewed the comments and made necessary revisions to finalize the draft EIR.
November 30, 2006
A community meeting was held in the cafeteria at Liberty High School to provide information regarding the proposed master-planned community of Gateway Village. The meeting was to go over the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) process, discuss the anticipated project timeline, and answer questions from the public about the Gateway Village Specific Plan and Infrastructure Master Plan.
December 7, 2006
A public hearing was held before the County of Madera Planning Commission to function as a workshop on the project and receive public comment on the adequacy of the Draft EIR. The meeting location was at the Children's Hospital Central California, 9300 Valley Children's Place, Room G-150B at the Garden Level.
May 2, 2007
A community meeting hosted by Castle and Cooke was held at Rancho Hills Senior Center to provide information regarding the proposed master-planned community of Gateway Village. The meeting went over the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) process and answered questions from the public about the Gateway Village Specific Plan and Infrastructure Master Plan.

A hearing was held before the County of Madera Planning Commission to review the EIR and project proposal (Specific Plan, Area Plan and IMP) and provided a recommendation for approval to the Board of Supervisors. The meeting location was held at the Children's Hospital Central California, 9300 Valley Children's Place.
