This zone provides for a broad range of residential uses including detached and attached dwellings, apartments, condominiums, and townhomes. Parks, schools, and other public uses are also permitted in this zone.
This zone permits smaller commercial centers that provide a variety of neighborhood-serving retail and service uses.
This zone permits lower intensity mixed use development including residential, recreational, neighborhood retail and other commercial uses. The intent is to create a lower intensity community gathering place in a mixed use environment that will be of similar intensity to the surrounding residential development.
This zone permits more intense mixed use development, providing the opportunity for a mix of commercial, retail, office and limited residential uses. It is anticipated that the Gateway Village Commercial zone will provide a focal point for the community and a central gathering place to accommodate shopping, dining and other community activities and events. This zone will serve as the point of entry to the community and establish a strong and unique identity for the entire Gateway Village community.
This zone will accommodate employment centers and higher intensity commercial land uses. Concentrating the commercial uses within this area will help to avoid strip commercial development.
This zone will include one large park and the Wastewater Treatment Plant Site. Root Creek Park will be a strong visual amenity that will be an important open space and park asset to the community. The park will be partially improved with other portions of the creek maintained in a natural setting. The park is anticipated to contain both active and passive elements. The park may also contain walking trails and organized sports fields and will be of such a size that community events such as art shows, bazaars, and unstructured activities, such as picnics, may be held in it. |
