In August of 2011, Nelson Miller, Vice President in Hogle-Ireland’s Riverside office,organized and led a half-day Planning Commissioners’ Training Workshop sponsored by the Inland Empire Section of APA and the local AEP chapter. The workshop topics included roles and responsibilities of the Planning Commissioner, legal issues, environmental review, design review, and emerging issues relating to greenhouse gases and climate change. Attendees included new and seasoned Commissioners, and they responded with enthusiastic reviews of the session’s content. Laura Stetson, Senior Vice President in our Pasadena office, was a featured speaker, together with Pam Lee of Aleshire & Wynder and planning consultant Jim Morrissey.
