Bringing Holiday Cheer to the Kids of Bona Vita
January 2008
For the third year in a row Hogle-Ireland Inc. spreads a little holiday cheer by delivering Christmas gifts to the kids of Bona Vita.
Bona Vita is a non-profit organization which provides homes to foster children. The Anaheim house is home to 12 kids ranging in age from 6 to 12 years old. While public money provides for the children's basic needs it does not provide for other "kid" stuff such as birthday and Christmas gifts.
Hogle-Ireland Inc. staff and management stepped in and rose over $1300, enough to buy over $110 in gifts per child! After all the money was gathered volunteers from the Irvine, Riverside and Pasadena offices went out on their personal time to purchase the gifts to fulfill the kid's wish lists. Once all the shopping was complete Hogle-Ireland Inc. had a gift wrapping party to prepare the gifts for delivery.
On December 20th, Hogle-Ireland staff personally delivered the gifts to the children. Upon stepping though the door, the presents lit the children's faces with joy. After getting there the Hogle Ireland volunteers spent the evening decorating Christmas cookies, playing games, and getting to know the kids a little better. Although the presents aren't opened until Christmas morning, you could tell by the looks on the childrens faces they were going to have a wonderful Christmas.
