Hogle-Ireland recently completed the comprehensive zoning for over 48,000 properties in Pahrump, Nevada. This large-scale project required expert planning studies and extensive public outreach. Through community workshops and a focused outreach campaign that included newsletters, project specifi c handouts, project website, and web-based GIS mapping applications, we were able to generate enough public interest and participation to facilitate a healthy dialogue between the Regional Planning District planners and decision-makers and the residents of Pahrump. This dialogue facilitated successful completion of an effi cient, equitable, and compreshensive rezoning.

At the conclusion of the project, the County received a sophisticated, parcel-specifi c database that is very versatile and that will allow the County to manipulate the data in support of a wide range of future planning studies.
