As part of the comprehensive rezoning of the entire Pahrump Regional Planning District, the County of Nye, Nevada commissioned Hogle-Ireland with creating a Town Center zone as well as Town Center Design Guidelines to encourage the development of a distinctive and recognizable town center area for Pahrump. Development of the Town Center Design Guidelines was based on the ideas of community residents who participated in the interactive visioning process. The Town Center Design Guidelines contain ample graphics to depict the style and type of development that is expected of future growth. The result is a document designed to guide both public and private developments such that the Town Center evolves into a civic and pedestrian-oriented activity center where residents and visitors converge to shop, eat, converse, work and play.
