Virtually every successful planning project involves a well-planned program to engage the community in the design and decision processes. Participation by residents, the business community, and other stakeholders can make for better projects for the community and the project applicant. Community participation can occur at many levels, but the important thing to do is to keep the affected public informed, interested, and satisfied that their concerns have been considered. Hogle-Ireland, Inc. offers community relations services to meet all of your communication and outreach needs. We help public and private clients structure and implement community engagement programs tailored to specific needs and constituencies, either as integral to a planning project we are leading or as a stand-alone assignment.
Our Community Engagement team is qualified to design and implement effective public information programs and assist with community outreach and consensus building, media relations, public hearings and town hall meetings, public notification, and government relations at all levels. Additionally, we can help coordinate a speakers' bureau, plan events, or serve as the public information officer for your organization.
We use traditional methods of engaging the public as well as new media to reach many participants. Also, we have multilingual staff available to conduct workshops and prepare outreach materials targeted to non-English speaking community members.
